Welcome to Woodstation!

My name is Jayne Black and I am the WES Title l Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator. My primary role is to support parents and provide information on how you can be fully engaged in your child's education. I encourage you to visit our Family Resource Center (Room 120) to learn about the many ways you can be involved and how to fully participate in your child's education. In the Family Resource Center, we have community, parenting, and educational resources available for you to take home to help your family succeed both in and out of the classroom. I'm committed to making sure all parents have the resources necessary to feel confident communicating with teachers and staff at school. I'm looking forward to an exciting and successful year!

Family and School Team (FAST) Individual Parent-Teacher Meetings - March 18-22

Teachers will be available for individual conferences during the week of March 18-22. Take this opportunity to check on your child's progress and growth. This is a great chance to have some one-on-one time with your child's teacher and learn what you can do to support learning at home. A sign-up form will come home from your child's teacher. Sign-up for a meeting and make sure your child will be finishing the school year on track to meet grade level goals.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and District Advisory Council Meeting (DAC)

All parents are invited to join us at these important Title l meetings. Our PAC meeting will be held April 17 at 12:00 p.m. at WES. The DAC meeting will be held May 9 at the Learning Center. This is a time for parents to give input about the school and district parent and family engagement policies, program, and funding. We will discuss, review, and approve these policies. We will look at the results of our spring survey and discuss ideas for our family engagement program. At this meeting, Mr. Ellis will also be discussing our School Improvement Plan for 2019-2020. This will be a casual discussion time to talk about our school goals and for parents to give input for our school plan for next year. We would love for you to attend and share your feedback!
